The Giraffe Tools irrigation hose reel works simply: pull the hose to your desired length and it locks automatically. Give a gentle tug to unlock, then guide it back — the self-layering mechanism winds it neatly onto the reel, no knots or tangles.
The perforated side faces up and delivers a fine, even spray over your lawn. Because it stores on the reel, the spray direction is fixed — it is a spray-up sprinkler hose, not a soaker/drip hose.
The 79 ft hose (69 ft perforated) suits large lawns. For very large yards, water the left half first, then drag it to the right — one reel handles a big garden.
No — the optimized 79 ft length and precision-tuned holes keep front-to-end pressure loss under 50%, so watering stays even from the first hole to the last. No more half-green, half-yellow lawn.
Operating pressure is 0.3–0.8 MPa (about 43–116 PSI).
Roughly 1.2–2.5 m wide near the inlet, up to 1.7–3.5 m toward the far end.
On a lawn, hammer the 4 garden pins into a flat spot. On concrete, drill 4 holes (12 mm bit, 5 cm deep), insert the anchors and screws, and tighten. Install close to your faucet.
The hose is 5/8 in. inner diameter and connects via a standard 3/4 in. GHT (garden hose thread) — compatible with standard US outdoor faucets; a 5 ft leader hose is included.
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth only. Do not use chemicals, submerge the reel, or open the casing. Before freezing temperatures, turn off the faucet, release the pressure, fully drain the hose, remove the pins or screws, and store the reel indoors.
A 2-year limited warranty for residential use. Wear parts (hose, filter, etc.) carry a 120-day warranty.
